Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical engineering department teaches students to design and develop everything you think of as a machine – from supersonic fighter jets to bicycles to toasters. The students are taught the basics mechanical principles that influence the design of other products such as shoes, light bulbs and even doors. Students can specialize in areas such as manufacturing, robotics, automotive/transportation, air conditioning, artificial organs to the expanding field of nanotechnology. The mechanical engineering students are taught how to design a component, a machine, a system or a process. They will analyze their design using the principles of motion, energy, and force to insure the product functions safely, efficiently, reliably, and can be manufactured at a competitive cost. Skilled faculty and excellent lab facilities are provided to offer students proper and complete education.
