Physics
The department provides students with a fundamental knowledge of physics, together with problem-solving skills, and an understanding of engineering. It is designed to address the needs of students seeking innovative careers in today’s technological age. In addition to courses in those subjects fundamental to the student’s field of interest, the department teaches courses in quantum mechanics and encourages study of subjects as electromagnetism, statistical mechanics, thermodynamics, condensed matter physics and mathematical physics. The physics laboratory has all the equipments needed for an enhanced learning of these concepts. Some of the equipment include laser grating, Fiber-optic kit, Four-probe instrument for the determination of energy gap, Photographic equipments, Polarimeter and Hystersis apparatus.
