Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized a Guest Lecture on “Modelica language and its applications” on 08.01.2018. Mr Anand Pichaikani, Managing Director, Modelon Engineering Private Limited was invited the speaker for the guest lecture. He is recognized as an expert in the field of model based systems engineering through contributions to the various challenging engineering consultancy projects
He introduced the “Modelica – A Open source Language” to the ECE and CSE students. He explained how Modelica can be used to model complex physical systems containing, eg. mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, thermal, control or electric power. He demonstrated a control system flow using Dymola modeling and simulation environment based on the open Modelica modeling language.
At the end of the session, he narrated the industry requirements from a budding engineer. He advised the students to be strong in fundamentals and to do many projects to have a clear understanding of the engineering concepts.
