Induction Program - Design

CARE School of Design, an AI-Integrated Design College in Trichy, conducted a comprehensive Design Induction Program to welcome first-year Bachelor of Design (B.Des) students and introduce them to design fundamentals through experiential learning, creative exploration, and industry-oriented activities. The program helped students develop observation skills, creativity, visual thinking, design awareness, and problem-solving while familiarizing them with the institution’s design culture.

Students participated in a Clay Modelling Workshop conducted by Ar. Megha, exploring form development, three-dimensional visualization, material exploration, and hands-on model making. They also visited Keeladi, Madurai, to study ancient architecture, historical artifacts, traditional products, cultural heritage, patterns, and craftsmanship. An educational visit to the Rail Museum and Railway Station, Trichy, provided insights into vintage locomotives, engineering components, transportation systems, and public infrastructure design. A Visual Arts session by Ar. Rajkumar Ramalingam strengthened students’ sketching, observation, composition, and visual communication skills.

The program concluded with a Photography and Videography Workshop led by Design HOD Mr. Joseph Ebenezer, where students learned visual storytelling, framing, composition, camera techniques, content creation, and creative documentation. The session highlighted photography and video as powerful tools for research, presentations, portfolio development, and design communication, providing an inspiring start to their journey toward careers in the design industry.
