About the Program
This is an initiative by the C.A.R.E International school with the C.A.R.E Design Cell to create design awareness and familiarise design thinking among the school children. We intend to introduce the world of design to the school students. Each student is different and everyone possess divergent aptitudes from each other. In a continuously updating world and in a standardised system, it is vital to trigger their imagination, build curiosity and most importantly enjoy what they do. We would like to disrupt the monotony of education and bring in some fresh notions to their thinking. During the programme, we wish to mentor them, by stimulating, provoking, engaging in a facilitators’ role.
The programme would be interactive in nature. It is important to understand is-sues, analyse the problem, create multiple solutions, and contextualise to the needs. There will be lecture sessions, hands-on practice with materials, under-standing design-thinking, creative problem solving methodologies, communication skill sessions and other relevant modes of creative learning. We want to tap everyone’s spirit and energy, to be able to think on their feet and not be a part of the herd forever.

Naveen G – B.Arch NIT Trichy, PGDPD NID Bangalore
