4 days acoustics workshop conducted by Dr Kalaiselvi, focused on the aural experience and aesthetics of sound in any space. Students not only understood the science of sound but also behavioural principles based on geometry and surfaces.<\/p>\n
This workshop helped the students to get in-depth knowledge on market available materials and low cost alternatives. Also soundwalk was conducted around malaikottai region to understand unique sounds that belongs to that particular place with relation to culture and time.<\/p>\n
Inspired students came up with acoustical design solutions and executed their ideas on the lecture hall using low cost materials like egg crates, corrugated sheets, bamboo etc to mitigate the problems and to increase the speech intelligibility with an understanding of sound and its behaviour of sound in the same room<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
