The Workshop ‘Type matters’ mentored by Ar. Maniyarasan and Ar. Naveen at CARE campus on 20-10-2021 from 9:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. 20 students attended the workshop from the CARE Creative Arts department.

The Workshop began with an introduction and interactive session between the mentors and the students. For the first years, we started with basic shapes, forms and lines. Then Understanding Architectural Lettering for the ID students and identifying the alphabets through photographs for the VC students. For the second year, students were allowed to explore, identify and understand the fonts. They were also allowed to explore mediums like flat-nib pens, Sketchpens and Charcoals. Then scaling up the same letter on thicker boards and cutting the letters and taking photographs with different backgrounds.
