The Department of BBA & MBA successfully organized <\/span>Business Conclave 2025<\/b> on 21st February 2025 at Fulcrum Hall from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The event was presided over by Dr. D. Sugumar, Principal. <\/span>Business Conclave 2025, a platform for industry insights and knowledge exchange. As part of the event, Mr. R. Muthukumaran, Vice President-Central Zone, M\/S. Pothys Retail Pvt. Ltd, Trichy, delivered an engaging session on <\/span>The Rise of E-Commerce and its Impact on Traditional Retailers<\/b> from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM.<\/span><\/p>\n

During his lecture, Mr. Muthukumaran explored how the rapid growth of e-commerce has reshaped the retail industry, presenting both opportunities and challenges for traditional brick-and-mortar businesses. He discussed the shift in consumer behavior, the increasing dominance of online platforms, and the strategies traditional retailers can adopt to stay competitive in the digital era.<\/span><\/p>\n

The session was led by Mr. S. Shriram, widely known as The Retail Guy from Chennai, who brought his vast industry expertise to the discussion.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr. Shriram emphasized the challenges faced by modern retailers in an increasingly competitive market and highlighted key strategies for sustaining business growth.
