The Department of Visual Communication organised a field visit titled The Press Room Diaries to Dinamalar \u2013 The Print Media, Tiruchirappalli, on Saturday, 9th August 2025. The visit aimed to provide students with first-hand exposure to the operations, workflow, and production processes of a leading newspaper house.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the visit, students had the opportunity to explore various sections of the press, including news gathering, editing, page layout, printing, and distribution. Industry professionals interacted with the students, sharing valuable insights on the role of print media in the digital era, ethical journalism, and the challenges faced in news reporting and publishing.<\/span><\/p>\n

This experiential learning session enhanced students\u2019 understanding of real-time newsroom practices and the technical precision involved in newspaper production. The field visit proved to be an enriching experience, bridging classroom knowledge with professional exposure, and inspiring the students to appreciate the dynamic world of print journalism.<\/span><\/p>\n
