<strong data-start=\"16\" data-end=\"40\">Department of Design<\/strong> at <strong data-start=\"44\" data-end=\"75\">CARE College of Engineering<\/strong>, home to <strong data-start=\"85\" data-end=\"110\">CARE School of Design<\/strong>, an <strong data-start=\"115\" data-end=\"147\">AI-Integrated Design College<\/strong> in <strong data-start=\"151\" data-end=\"161\">Trichy<\/strong>, visited <strong data-start=\"171\" data-end=\"189\">Tuticorin Port<\/strong> for an industrial visit to gain first-hand exposure to boat design, boat construction techniques, marine engineering, and real-world maritime operations. They explored various types of wooden and steel boats, studying their carrying capacities, structural components, functionality, and the challenges involved in designing vessels for diverse applications. The visit provided valuable insights into how user needs, safety, durability, efficiency, ergonomics, and environmental conditions influence product design and design decision-making.<\/p><p data-start=\"729\" data-end=\"1370\">From a <strong data-start=\"736\" data-end=\"755\">design thinking<\/strong> perspective, the industrial visit encouraged students to apply the <strong data-start=\"823\" data-end=\"850\">Design Thinking Process<\/strong> through observation, field research, and user analysis. By interacting with boat owners and understanding operational challenges, students gained practical knowledge in <strong data-start=\"1020\" data-end=\"1105\">user research, user behavior, creative problem-solving, and human-centered design<\/strong>. This experiential learning opportunity provided meaningful <strong data-start=\"1166\" data-end=\"1187\">industry exposure<\/strong>, strengthening students\u2019 ability to analyze real-world problems, identify opportunities for innovation, and develop practical, user-centered design solutions for future
