data-end=\"130\">Department of Design at CARE College of Engineering, Trichy<\/strong> conducted a hands-on <strong data-start=\"152\" data-end=\"179\">Ceramic Design Workshop<\/strong> on <strong data-start=\"183\" data-end=\"200\">10 April 2026<\/strong> for first-year <strong data-start=\"216\" data-end=\"234\">B.Des students<\/strong>. Led by an industry expert in <strong data-start=\"265\" data-end=\"283\">ceramic design<\/strong>, the workshop provided students with practical exposure to <strong data-start=\"343\" data-end=\"422\">material exploration, clay modeling, and three-dimensional form development<\/strong>, strengthening their understanding of design fundamentals.<\/p><p data-start=\"483\" data-end=\"849\">During the workshop, students actively participated in <strong data-start=\"538\" data-end=\"565\">clay modeling exercises<\/strong>, exploring the creation of <strong data-start=\"593\" data-end=\"624\">geometric and organic forms<\/strong> through hands-on experimentation. Under expert guidance, they learned essential techniques in <strong data-start=\"719\" data-end=\"773\">shaping, structuring, sculpting, and refining clay<\/strong>, transforming design concepts into physical prototypes and creative models.<\/p><p data-start=\"851\" data-end=\"1244\">The workshop emphasized <strong data-start=\"875\" data-end=\"944\">experiential learning, material-based design, and design thinking<\/strong>, helping students understand the relationship between <strong data-start=\"999\" data-end=\"1046\">form, material, function, and design intent<\/strong>. It also enhanced their foundational skills in <strong data-start=\"1094\" data-end=\"1165\">tactile design processes, prototyping, and creative problem-solving<\/strong>, which are essential for <strong data-start=\"1191\" data-end=\"1231\">Product Design and Industrial Design<\/strong> disciplines.<\/p><p data-start=\"1246\" data-end=\"1503\">This initiative reflects the department\u2019s commitment to bridging <strong data-start=\"1311\" data-end=\"1355\">academic learning with industry practice<\/strong>, fostering <strong data-start=\"1367\" data-end=\"1440\">hands-on learning, innovation, and industry-oriented design education<\/strong> to prepare future-ready designers for the creative
