{"id":18128,"date":"2022-03-18T07:50:25","date_gmt":"2022-03-18T07:50:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/care.ac.in\/engineering\/?page_id=18128"},"modified":"2026-03-23T12:16:15","modified_gmt":"2026-03-23T12:16:15","slug":"sexual-harassment","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/care.ac.in\/engineering\/committees\/sexual-harassment\/","title":{"rendered":"Sexual Harassment Redressal Committee"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In order to create and maintain a community in which teaching, non-teaching staff and students can work together in an environment free of sexual violence, harassment, exploitation and intimidation, CARE College of Engineering has proactively formed a Committee for Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) under the recommendation of the Anna University, Chennai.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Role of the Committee:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prevent discrimination and sexual harassment against women, by promoting gender amity among students and employees;<\/li>\n<li>Deal with cases of discrimination and sexual harassment against women, in a time bound manner, aiming at ensuring support services to the victimized and termination of the harassment; to ensure that appropriate action is taken against the offender.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure that victims and witnesses are not victimized or discriminated because of their complaint.<\/li>\n<li>To take proactive measures towards sensitization of the working and learning community on gender issues so that the college is an excellent work place for all.<\/li>\n<li>Recommend appropriate punitive action against the guilty party.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Composition of Sexual Harassment Redressal Committee<\/strong><\/p>\n<table width=\"100%\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"11%\"><strong>S.
