PROGRAMME: B.E. MECHANICAL ENGINEERING<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)<\/span>:<\/strong>
\nGraduates of Mechanical Engineering shall,
\nPEO1<\/span><\/strong>.<\/span> Have a successful career in Mechanical and allied industries.<\/span>
\nPEO2.<\/span><\/strong> Have expertise in the areas of Design, Thermal, Materials and Manufacturing.<\/span>
\nPEO3.<\/span><\/strong> Practice their profession with good communication, leadership, ethics and social responsibility.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>PEO4.<\/span><\/strong> Contribute towards technological development through academic research and industrial practices and will adapt to emerging technologies through life-long learning.<\/span><\/p>\n

PROGRAM OUTCOMES (POs):<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

After completion of the course, the students will be able to<\/span>
\nPO1:<\/span><\/strong> Engineering Knowledge:<\/b> Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.<\/span>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

PO2:<\/span> <\/strong>Problem Analysis:<\/b> Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences.<\/span><\/p>\n

PO3:<\/span><\/strong> Design \/ Development of Solution:<\/b> Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

PO4:<\/span><\/strong> Conduct investigations of complex problems:<\/b> Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions for complex problems.<\/span><\/p>\n

PO5:<\/span><\/strong> Modern Tool Usage:<\/b> Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.<\/span>\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

PO6:<\/span><\/strong> The Engineer and Society:<\/b> Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.<\/span>.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

PSO1:<\/span><\/strong> Identify, formulate and solve engineering problems in core streams of Mechanical Engineering, i.e., design, thermal and manufacturing engineering.<\/p>\n
