The lecture aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental concepts of integrity and authentication in the context of cryptography and cyber security.<\/p>\n<p><b>Key Points Covered\u00a0 based on Anna University Curriculum : <\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Authentication function \u2013 MAC \u2013 Hash function \u2013 Security of hash function: HMAC, CMAC \u2013 SHA \u2013 Digital signature and authentication protocols \u2013 DSS \u2013 Schnorr Digital Signature Scheme \u2013 ElGamal cryptosystem<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The lecture concluded by emphasizing that integrity and authentication are foundational principles in cryptography and cyber security, serving as the basis for trust in digital interactions.
