{"id":27410,"date":"2024-10-18T20:15:09","date_gmt":"2024-10-18T20:15:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/care.ac.in\/engineering\/?p=27410"},"modified":"2024-11-15T10:32:18","modified_gmt":"2024-11-15T10:32:18","slug":"industrial-visit-on-workshop-and-water-treatment-plant-in-wonderlaexposure-and-field-visit-for-problem-identification","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/care.ac.in\/engineering\/2024\/10\/18\/industrial-visit-on-workshop-and-water-treatment-plant-in-wonderlaexposure-and-field-visit-for-problem-identification\/","title":{"rendered":"Industrial Visit on Workshop and Water Treatment plant in Wonderla(Exposure and Field Visit For Problem Identification)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An industrial visit were organized for the III and IV-year Mechanical Engineering students of <strong>CARE College of Engineering<\/strong> to participated in the tour, accompanied by two faculty members, <strong>Mr.V.Venkatesan<\/strong> and <strong>Mr.A.P.Ragunath<\/strong>, Assistant Professors of the Mechanical Engineering department.<\/p>\n<p>During the industrial visit to the <strong>Water Treatment Plant<\/strong> at Wonderla, Kochi, students from the Mechanical Engineering department of CARE College of Engineering were introduced to various stages of the water purification process, including the <strong>Sedimentation Tank<\/strong>, <strong>Chlorination Tank<\/strong>, <strong>Reverse Osmosis (RO) Tank<\/strong>, and the <strong>Filters and Control Room<\/strong>. They gained insights into how each system functions to ensure the supply of clean and safe water throughout the park. A significant issue identified by the students during the visit was related to the <strong>uneven sedimentation<\/strong> in the Sedimentation Tank. This problem was caused by inconsistent water inflow from the feed tank, leading to turbulence and inefficient particle settling. The students discussed possible solutions, such as installing flow regulators to maintain consistent inflow and redesigning the tank\u2019s internal structure to enhance the sedimentation process.
