The <\/span>Institution\u2019s Innovation Council (IIC)<\/b> and the <\/span>Department of Mechanical Engineering<\/b> at <\/span>CARE College of Engineering<\/b> successfully organized an <\/span>Online Workshop on “IPR & Patent and Design Filing”<\/b> on <\/span>19th February 2025<\/b> in virtual mode via <\/span>Webex<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event commenced with a <\/span>Welcome Address<\/b> by <\/span>Mr. Rilvan Ahamed <\/b>a second year student of Mechanical, followed by an <\/span>Inaugural Address<\/b> by <\/span>Dr. D.R. Rajkumar, Associate Professor.<\/b><\/p>\n

The workshop featured <\/span>Shri Kumar Raju, Assistant Controller of Patents & Designs at RGNIIPM, Nagpur<\/b>, as the <\/span>resource person<\/b>. He provided valuable insights into <\/span>Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs), patents, and design filing<\/b>, emphasizing their significance in <\/span>fostering innovation and protecting intellectual assets<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

A <\/span>dynamic Q&A session<\/b> followed, where participants actively engaged with the <\/span>resource person<\/b> to clarify their queries. The session concluded with <\/span>feedback from participants<\/b> and a <\/span>Vote of Thanks<\/b> by <\/span>Mr. P. Praveenkumar <\/b>a second year Mechanical student.<\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop witnessed an <\/span>overwhelming response<\/b>, with a total of <\/span>398 participants<\/b>, including <\/span>79 external attendees<\/b> from <\/span>K. Ramakrishnan College of Engineering, Karpagam College of Engineering (Coimbatore), and other institutions<\/b>. The event successfully engaged students from all years who were interested in <\/span>IPR and innovation<\/b>. <\/span>The workshop was <\/span>efficiently coordinated<\/b> by <\/span>Mr. S. Arun Prakash, Assistant Professor<\/b>, who served as the <\/span>Overall Coordinator<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n
