The visit was convened by <\/span><b>Dr. D.R. Rajkumar<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Professor &amp; Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, and coordinated by <\/span><b>Mr. A. Antony Luki M.E., (Ph.D.)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Assistant Professor. This visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to industrial processes and problem identification in real-time mechanical engineering applications. The students started their journey from the college premises with great enthusiasm to witness and learn from live industrial operations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The program commenced with a <\/span><b>Safety Orientation session<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> by <\/span><b>Mr. Rajesh<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Manager, where students were briefed on safety measures and protocols essential for industrial environments. This was followed by a <\/span><b>Corporate Presentation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> by <\/span><b>Mr. S.R. Surya<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Manager, providing an overview of the company\u2019s operations, products, and market approach. Post a short break, students were divided into three teams for the <\/span><b>shop floor visit<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> led by <\/span><b>Mr. Madhudeepan<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (Dy. Manager), <\/span><b>Mr. Joel<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (Engineer), and <\/span><b>Mr. Ashik<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (Engineer).<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">During the visit, the teams observed various manufacturing processes, including <\/span><b>pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and control valves manufacturing<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, along with operational workflows, gaining valuable insights into lean tools such as <\/span><b>5S<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><b>Kaizen<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> in action.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After lunch, a session on <\/span><b>Lean Management<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> was conducted by <\/span><b>Mr. Gowtham<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Sr. Manager, where concepts of waste reduction and productivity improvement were discussed. This was followed by <\/span><b>feedback and an industry overview<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> by <\/span><b>Mrs. Pavithra<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, HR\/Head, who highlighted career opportunities, skill requirements, and the company\u2019s vision for future growth.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Finally, the program concluded with an <\/span><b>interactive discussion<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, a <\/span><b>group photograph<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> with the company\u2019s employees, and a <\/span><b>vote of thanks<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> delivered by <\/span><b>Mr. A.
