The Department of Mechanical Engineering, CARE College of Engineering, organized an Alumni Interaction Session on 1st September 2025 for third-year Mechanical Engineering students. The session was designed to connect students with the industrial journey of a successful alumnus, providing them with insights into current career opportunities, skill requirements, and workplace expectations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Welcome Address<\/b><\/h3>\n

Dr. D. R. Rajkumar, Head of the Department, delivered the welcome address and introduced \u00a0 \u00a0 Mr. M. Ameer Amsa, a distinguished alumnus of the 2021\u20132025 batch. He emphasized the importance of alumni interactions as platforms that inspire students and prepare them for professional challenges.<\/span><\/p>\n

Career Path and Industrial Exposure<\/b>
\n<\/b> Mr. Ameer Amsa, currently working as an NDT Engineer, shared his career journey and the challenges faced while transitioning from college to industry. He explained the scope of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) in mechanical engineering and its critical role in ensuring product quality and safety across industries.<\/span><\/p>\n

Workplace Expectations and Required Skills<\/b>
\n<\/b> He highlighted the importance of strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering, hands-on exposure to industrial tools, and continuous upskilling in specialized areas such as NDT.
