The Department of Mechanical Engineering, CARE College of Engineering, Tiruchirappalli, organized a one-day industrial visit to <\/span>CEE YES ENGINEERING INDUSTRIES PRIVATE LIMITED<\/b> on <\/span>04th October 2025<\/b> for the <\/span>25<\/b> second-year Mechanical Engineering students<\/b>. The visit was convened by <\/span>Dr. D. R. Rajkumar<\/b>, Professor & Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, and coordinated by <\/span>Mr. V. Venkatesan<\/b>, Assistant Professor \/ Mechanical.<\/span><\/p>\n

The industrial visit commenced with a warm welcome and introductory session at <\/span>CEE YES ENGINEERING INDUSTRIES PRIVATE LIMITED<\/b>, where the students were oriented about the company\u2019s operations and products. The session was led by <\/span>Mr. R. Punithak Kumar<\/b>, <\/span>Executive \u2013 Sales & Service<\/span><\/i>, who delivered an insightful presentation highlighting the company\u2019s background, mission, and product portfolio, particularly focusing on their innovative range of <\/span>CAM and STEED chainless bicycles<\/b>. He elaborated on the design philosophy, market reach, and the engineering principles behind the development of these products, giving students a clear understanding of how theoretical concepts in mechanical engineering are applied to real-world product design and manufacturing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Following this, <\/span>Mr. S. Parthasarathi<\/b>, <\/span>Executive \u2013 Sales & Service<\/span><\/i>, took the students on a detailed tour of the manufacturing facility. He explained the operation and functionality of various machines and equipment used in the production process, including <\/span>CNC and conventional machining units<\/b>, welding stations, assembly lines, and quality testing setups. Students observed the sequential workflow involved in the bicycle manufacturing process\u2014from component machining and assembly to final product inspection\u2014enabling them to understand the practical aspects of precision manufacturing, process planning, and production management.<\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout the visit, <\/span>Mr. S. Ganesh Ram<\/b>, <\/span>Sr. Executive \u2013 Admin & IT<\/span><\/i>, played a crucial role in coordinating the sessions and ensuring smooth interaction between the students and company personnel. He also provided valuable insights into the administrative and technological aspects that support efficient industrial operations.<\/span><\/p>\n

A major highlight of the visit was the <\/span>demonstration and test ride of the chainless bicycles<\/b> developed by the company. This hands-on experience allowed students to appreciate the mechanical design innovations and ergonomic considerations that contribute to enhanced performance and user comfort.
