CARE College of Engineering, Tiruchirappalli, successfully conducted CARE TECH FEST\u201925<\/strong>, a one-day national-level technical symposium<\/strong>, celebrating the spirit of innovation, creativity, and technical excellence. The event was held on 16th October 2025<\/strong> at the Fulcrum venue<\/strong> on campus.<\/p>\n

The symposium witnessed active participation from more than 30 engineering college students across Tamil Nadu<\/strong>, with over 500 student registrations<\/strong> and 122 technical paper presentations<\/strong> across various disciplines of engineering and technology. It provided a vibrant platform for young innovators to exchange ideas, present research outcomes, and transform theoretical knowledge into practical applications.<\/p>\n

The inaugural ceremony<\/strong> was graced by Mr. Ramanathan S, General Manager \u2013 Operations, Rane (Madras) Limited, Brake Components Division, Tiruchirappalli<\/strong>, who served as the Chief Guest<\/strong>. In his inspiring address, he urged students to nurture curiosity and a spirit of inquiry by constantly asking \u201cHow\u201d<\/em> and \u201cWhy\u201d<\/em>, emphasizing that such inquisitiveness drives creativity and innovation. Using simple examples\u2014such as why a cup\u2019s handle remains cool while holding hot tea or how a cordless microphone functions\u2014he illustrated how everyday observations can lead to scientific exploration.<\/p>\n

Mr. Ramanathan also recalled his college experiences with oscilloscopes and the motivating words of his professors, which continue to inspire his professional journey. He elaborated on the importance of adopting the PDCA (Plan\u2013Do\u2013Check\u2013Act)<\/strong> cycle, introduced by W. Edwards Deming, as a guiding principle for continuous improvement. He explained that students should plan<\/strong> innovative ideas with clear goals, do<\/strong> by implementing actionable steps, check<\/strong> outcomes through analysis, and act<\/strong> by standardizing successful practices into consistent habits for long-term growth.<\/p>\n

He further emphasized that failures are an inevitable part of the learning process and should be viewed as opportunities for development. Each failure, he noted, strengthens creativity and resilience by building new neural pathways. He encouraged students to take part in technical events and paper presentations to enhance their critical thinking and bridge academic learning with real-world problem-solving.<\/p>\n

Dr. S. Shanthi, Principal, CARE College of Engineering<\/strong>, delivered the presidential address<\/strong>, commending the enthusiasm of the participants and reaffirming the institution\u2019s dedication to fostering experiential and research-oriented learning. Dr. Sriram Sundar S<\/strong>, Coordinator of CARE Tech Fest \u201925, and faculty members from various departments were present during the event.<\/p>\n
