Investero 2021, the intercollegiate virtual investment club\u00a0event was conducted by CARE Business School on 23rd July 2021. There were close to 70 state level participants across 18 colleges and universities participated with great zeal and enthusiasm in 3 competitions related to financial analysis and stock market.
\nInvestero is an initiative towards nurturing interest, creating awareness in the field of finance and stock market and to provide a platform for the students to exhibit their talents and win awards and prizes. The participants showcased their talents in all the events namely Big Bull, FinWizard, and Traders league (live trading).
\nThe event started with the welcome address by Ms. Jayalakshmi, the finance club coordinator.
\nMr. R. Venkatesh, Head, CARE Business School felicitated the program and encouraged the students and touched upon the technological development that is happening around the world and stressed on the importance of investment and savings for the younger generation.
\nMr. Sunil Allan, Assistant Professor, CARE Business School briefed the participants about the events.
\nThe first event was the Big Bull competition. Participants were asked to interpret the facts about the growth stocks and forecast using financial analysis for any 5 stocks from different sectors. Continued by the Finwizard where participants were tested with their basic knowledge of financial concepts and the stock market. This event had an overwhelming response among the participants. The last event was the Traders League – a live trading competition where the participants were given simulated model of live trading session and their trading skills and investment decision making skills very tested. And above all, the participants had an incredible experience on the simulated real time trading which will be cherished by them for a longer period.
\nThe Winners were awarded a cash prize of Rs. 2000 during the valediction ceremony.

\nMs. Sushma Rachel briefed about the functioning of the Finance Club at CARE Business School and the roadmap for taking it forward. The efforts of all the members of the organizing committee and the coordinators for exhibiting professionalism in organizing such a one-of-a-kind virtual investment event is laudable and deserves appreciation.
