CARE School of Business Management conducted a 3 day “Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp” sponsored by Department of Science & Technology (DST) – National Implementing and Monitoring Agency for Training (NIMAT) and Entrepreneurship Development Institute India Ahmedabad from 08-10 January 2020. The program is conducted to promote awareness on choosing entrepreneurship as a career among final year science and technology students.
The first day of the camp sessions focused on “Introduction and Motivation to Entrepreneurship” followed by industrial visit to PureTech India.
The second day of the camp sessions focussed on “Idea Generation and Validation.
The third day saw sessions on “Statutory Compliance” by Mr.D. Ramakrishnan, Consultant – Vasavi Associates. The session was about the legal formalities that should be followed when starting a business. There was also a session on “Government & Support Schemes” for which the speaker Mr.Susil Kumar, RAC Head – Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation (TIIC), Tiruchi enumerated the participants on the various schemes to support Entrepreneurs by Government of India through Mudra Loan, Start-Up India and Stand Up India followed by the schemes by Tamil Nadu Government through Unemployed Youth Employment Generation Programme (UYEGP), Prime Ministers Employment Generation Program (PMEGP) and New Entrepreneur Cum Enterprise Development Scheme (NEEDS). The valedictory session was headed by Mr. Rajappa, Treasurer – Tiruchirapalli District Small Scale Industries Association (TIDITSSIA).
The program witnessed participation by 76 students from institutions across Tiruchi and Thanjavur with Science and Technology background.
