On 10th August 2026, II MBA students of CARE Business School visited the Parle-G manufacturing facility in Madurai. The one-day Industrial Visit was coordinated by faculty members Mr. Karthikeyan B. and Mrs. Ishwaraya M.
The visit gave students a close-up view of large-scale FMCG operations. They observed the automated biscuit production line in action. They also saw the packaging and dispatch process firsthand. Raw materials move through a tightly coordinated system at the plant. The result is one of India’s most trusted household brands.
Quality control checks happen at multiple stages of production. This highlighted the discipline needed to maintain consistency at scale. Students also studied the shop-floor layout. It gave them practical insight into plant efficiency and workflow design. These were concepts they had only encountered in textbooks before.
For many students, the visit bridged classroom theory and real-world practice. It reinforced the importance of operations management. It also highlighted the value of quality assurance and process efficiency in running a successful enterprise.
