Department of Visual Communication, CARE College of Arts & Science organized an Industrial Visit to “The Hindu” a leading National Daily, Tiruchirapalli Publication Office on 04 May 2022.
In this Industrial Visit, Students learn about how the Newspaper is printed and the advertising department works. Mr. Venkatesan, Regional Head – The Hindu, Tiruchirapalli presided over the session and taught our students about Editorial Department, roles & responsibilities.
Mr.Venkatesan, Advertising Department – The Hindu, Tiruchirapalli explained the Hierarchical Structure of Newspaper organization and brief about how the Editorial, Pagination and Advertising Departments are work under the timeline pressure. He also discussed Advertising Ethics, Ad Creatives and Space Selling Concepts. Students asked questions to clarify their doubts with him.
After this session, students visited the Printing Press, Paper Storage and Despatch Section to gain knowledge about Newspaper Printing and CMYK Color pattern used in publishing.
All students of B.Sc Visual Communication were a part of this Industrial Visit.
