As part of experiential learning in the subject Strategic Management, the Tower Building Challenge was conducted on 26th June 2025 for the students of III BBA. Coordinated by Ms. Caroline Josephine Vanhaltren, AP, Department of BBA, the activity aimed to provide practical insights into strategic thinking, decision-making under dynamic conditions, and the application of Porter’s Five Forces Model.
Students were divided into teams and provided with limited resources to build the tallest and most stable tower within a set timeframe. Midway through the task, strategic challenges were introduced to simulate real-world business disruptions such as new market entrants, changes in supplier dynamics, customer preference shifts, and the threat of substitute products. These required teams to adapt their strategies quickly and effectively.
Post-activity, each group presented their approach and evaluated their performance using Porter’s Five Forces framework, reinforcing their theoretical understanding through hands-on experience.
