Department of Visual Communication and CARE Talkies Film Club jointly organized the International Award Winning Documentary Film Screening and Discussion session on 07/09/2022. In this session, ‘Kaliru’ documentary film was screened. ‘Kaliru’ has won several awards, including for Best Environment Film at the El Cine Suma Paz International Film Festival, Emerging Talents in Conservation award from Nature Focus, Tagore International Film Festival, and has been officially selected for various upcoming festivals. Director and Editor of ‘Kaliru’ Mr. Santhosh Krishnan was the resource person for this session. He explained about stages of documentary film production including, scripting, budgeting, editing techniques and how to nominate for international awards.
