The guest lecture was Ms. Deepa Baburaj, General Counsel-India, Guardian Life, Chennai. The Programme began at 20:00 Pm in the Google Meet. The guest was introduced to the audiences. Guest Lecturer Ms. Deepa Baburaj gave introductions about Leasing and Purchasing.
She focused on the following sub-topics such as Definition of Leasing and Purchasing, Basics Lease Financing, Concept of Leasing, Marketing of Leasing, Lease Financing Organisations in India, Types of Leasing and Merits and Demerits of Leasing. She further highlighted on Basics -Hire Purchase, Key Elements in Hire Purchase, Features of Hire Purchase, Types of Hire Purchase, Financial and Operating Lease, Advantages of Hire Purchase, Disadvantages of Hire Purchase, Difference between Finical Lease and Hire Purchase, Difference between Leasing and Hire Purchase, Difference between Hire Purchase and Installment System, Merits and Demerits of Leasing and Hire Purchasing. The whole session focused on holistic topic Basics of Leasing And Hire Purchasing, Important Factors, Long Term Sources, How are Hire Purchase Transactions Regulated in India and Merits and Demerits.
The whole session was interactive and interesting to all. The students enlarged wisdom from her. Most of the students willingly participated and interacted with her. Department of Commerce and Management of CARE College of Arts and Science organized a Guest Lecture on “Role of Investment Banking” on 20th February 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM through the Google Meet. The guest lecture gathers eminent speakers MR. V. BHARATHIDASAN, Credit Manager – Corporate Banking, Barclays, Chennai. The lecture was attended by 65 students and 8 Faculty members from Commerce and Management Department. Our B. Com student Miss. S. Yokiya Thilagam welcomed the gathering. The speaker started with some random question about investment banking.
Mr. V. Bharathidasan conveyed his valuable insights regarding the various aspects of investment banking like underwriting, fund and capital raining and also, he explained the important functions and the roles of investment banking, like mergers, acquisition and advisory service. Apart from that he also spoke about the domains of financial service like sales trading, corporate broking, asset management, debt and transition cycle etc.
The session ended with interactive session. Overall, the lecture was very informative and it helped students as well to get a knowledge about Investment Banking.

CARE College of Arts and Science organized a Guest Lecture on “Integrated Marketing Communications” on 4th February 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM through Google meet. The guest lecture was an eminent speaker: Mr S. Sunil Allan, Assistant Professor, CARE Business School. The lecture was attended by 43 students and all Faculty members of CARE College of Arts and Science.
The guest speaker was heartily welcomed by Dr Abdul Suban, Head and the Department of Commerce (CA). The guest speaker Mr S. Sunil Allan, having rich experience in Integrated Marketing Communications. The session was very interactive and students participated enthusiastically. In the beginning, Mr S. Sunil Allan gave the introduction to Marketing Communications, Advertising, Personal Selling and Direct Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Mobile Marketing, Public Relationship (PR) and Sponsorship. Later he explained the different verity of advertisements, paid ads, sale promotion, and the benefits of IMC, the need for IMC, five steps of the IMC process, and the 8 keys functions of Marketing Communications. It will harness the creativity of millions of bright young minds. He gave a beautiful insight into the IMC and spoke about how students can be a part of it. Finally he summarized overall points and gave conclusions. The students actively interacted with the speaker. He clarified their doubts on the topic IMC.

CARE College of Arts and Science organized a special Lecture to the First-year students commerce and Business Administrations on”Unified Payment Interface” Services was held on the 30th January 2021. Mr. N. PARTHASARATHY, Retd. Vice President, Axis Bank,Chennai has consented to address the students.
The Guest excellently highlighted the various services that were digitized by all banks such as Unified Payment Interface (UPI), NEFT and RTGS.
He explained how UPI systems work. He also explained the different types of banking APP and he explained in detail the procedure of operating a bank IFSC and QR Code using a mobile phone application. He also explained the advantages of UPI system then the traditional payments banker.Today UPI systems helps the people to do the transaction at 24*7*365 days. Banks have done a lot of innovative things including reducing the customer waiting period and doing the traction safely. Today debit and credit happens at the same time.
Today 207 member banks can help the account holder do the transaction with any banks. Approximately 2334.16 million transactions happening in a month and its value somewhere around Rs. 4, 96, 000 crores. But still we need to penetrate the rural population. In due course of time a lot of new technology will help the banking industry to work much more smarter than today. Therefore as a B.Com & BBA graduate your learning should not stop with learning accounting traction. You should know the technology and selling skills if you want to become a banker.

Suren Raja, Entrepreneur, Alumni of CARE Business School. The Programme began at 09:30 Am in the Google Meet. Assistant Professor Mrs S. Aiswarya welcomed the audiences and introduced the speaker and the topic of the lecture to the students.
ER. Suren Raja introduced the participants to many exclusive examples and challenges for Targeting Customers. He excellently emphasized the various tips for Targeting Customers through Online Channels. He highlighted Digital Marketing, Search Engine, Paid Search, and Social Media Marketing and so on. He insisted that all students focus on the Content, Design and Attractive Creative. He gave us information about future projects.

The guest lecture was Mr. N.Sakar, Vice President, YES Bank Chennai. The Programme began at 20:00 Pm in the Google Meet. The guest was introduced to the audiences.
We had a very nice session with Mr. N.Sakar, Vice President, YES Bank Chennai. He has elaborated on the various functional aspects of the banking industry and what are the skills sets expected to have for working in the banking sectors. Mr.N.Sankar has advised the students to keep the mind open and think big about the career. He has an intricate job role in the various functional area of the banks via assets management, forex, investment banking. He explained that banks will have more opening in future. Banks will take the students based on skills not based on the marks. Therefore he appeals that students need to study the concepts thoroughly and keep themselves updated by studying newspapers regularly. Over 70 students interacted with the Vice presidents and clarify their doubts about a career in banking. The Principal of the CARE college of Arts and Science welcomed the guest. Faculty and heads of the department were presented in the meeting.
