The School of Commerce organized an insightful guest lecture on the topic Future of HRM and the Art of Resume Crafting on 08th August 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at the CARE Campus. The session aimed to enlighten students on the evolving trends in Human Resource Management and the essentials of building a professional resume.
The Chief Guest for the event was Mr. P. Charles, Head – Human Resources, who shared his expertise and practical knowledge on current HR practices and guided the students on how to craft an impactful resume tailored to the demands of modern recruitment.
Dr. D. Sugumar, Principal, presided over the function and highlighted the importance of aligning academic skills with industry expectations. Dr. B. Abdul Suban, Head & Assistant Professor, B.Com (CA), felicitated the event and appreciated the resource person for sharing valuable insights.
The session was coordinated by Mr. Radhakrishnan Mathivanan, Assistant Professor, B.Com (CA), and witnessed active participation from students across various commerce streams. The session witnessed the active participation of 120 students from B.Com (CA) and other commerce streams, along with faculty members.
The objective of the session was to highlight the future trends shaping the field of HRM, including AI-driven recruitment, hybrid work culture, employee well-being initiatives, and skill-based hiring. To provide students with practical techniques for creating professional and ATS-friendly resumes. To bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations in recruitment.
The lecture concluded with an interactive Q&A session, allowing students to clarify their doubts and gain a deeper understanding of HRM and resume building techniques.
