The Department of Business Administration organized a Guest Lecture on The Evolving Cyber Landscape of Business: Cybercrime, Artificial Intelligence and Legal Protection on 30 September 2026 at the Arts Summit Hall from 11.50am to 1.30pm. The programme was presided over by Dr. D. Sugumar, Principal, with the felicitation delivered by Dr. K. Alex, Dean (Academics) and Dr. K. Kalpana, HOD, Department of BBA.
The session featured Ms. Deepa Manikam, Assistant Professor, The Tamil Nadu National Law University, Trichy, as the Resource Person. The lecture focused on emerging cybercrime threats in the business environment, the growing role of Artificial Intelligence, and the legal measures available for protecting individuals and organizations in the digital era. The session provided students with valuable insights into cybersecurity challenges, responsible use of AI, and the importance of legal awareness in safeguarding digital assets and business operations.
