The Department of Commerce, organized a field visit for the II B.Com students on 26.09.2026 as part of the subject Tour Operation. The visit provided students with an opportunity to gain practical exposure to tourism, heritage, and cultural destinations. The students visited Sittannavasal, Thiruvanaikaval Temple, Trichy, Brihadisvara Temple, Thanjavur, and Thiruverumbur Temple, where they explored historical landmarks, temples, and scenic locations.
The field visit helped students understand the practical aspects of tour planning, destination management, travel experiences, and tourism operations. It also encouraged experiential learning by connecting classroom concepts with real-world tourism practices. The visit was an enriching experience that broadened the students’ perspectives and strengthened their understanding of the tourism industry. The visit was coordinated by Mr. Jeganathan D, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce.
