The Department of B.Com (CA) organized an insightful guest lecture on Ethical Leadership on 1st August 2025 at the CARE campus. The session aimed to instill values of integrity and responsibility among students pursuing commerce and computer applications.
The guest speaker for the day was Ms. Shanmuga Priya, Banking Advisory Manager, Chennai, who delivered an inspiring lecture on the role of ethics in leadership, particularly in the corporate and financial sectors. She emphasized the importance of ethical decision-making and its impact on long-term organizational success.
The primary aim of the event was to provide students with exposure to real-world business practices, innovative thinking, and insights from experienced professionals. It also focused on strengthening academic-industry interaction and enhancing student engagement through expert talks and knowledge-sharing platforms. The total number of participants were 120 including students and 20 faculty members.
The event was presided over by Dr. D. Sugumar, Principal, who highlighted the relevance of ethical leadership in today’s competitive world. Dr. B. Abdul Suban, Head of the Department of B.Com (CA), felicitated the chief guest and shared his views on nurturing future leaders through academic and moral guidance.
Mr. M. Radhakrishnan, Assistant Professor, B.Com (CA), served as the staff coordinator and ensured the smooth conduct of the event. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, where students actively participated and clarified their doubts, making the lecture both interactive and enriching.
