The Department of B.Com (CA) organised a one-day hands-on workshop titled Unlock the Web: HTML for Beginners on 08th August 2025 at 9:30 am at the CARE campus. The workshop aimed to introduce students to the fundamentals of web development and provide them with practical exposure to HTML.
The session was presided over by Dr. D. Sugumar, Principal, who emphasised the importance of digital literacy and the relevance of web technologies in today’s job market.
The guest speaker for the session was Mr. N. Gogularaman, Design Engineer, Sequentia Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore. He provided insightful guidance on the basics of HTML, demonstrating key tags, attributes, and structuring techniques. His interactive approach and real-time examples kept the participants engaged throughout the session.
The workshop was felicitated by Dr. B. Abdul Suban, Head, Department of B.Com (CA), who appreciated the students’ enthusiasm and highlighted the department’s commitment to enhancing technical skills among commerce students.
The session was coordinated by Dr. M. Yasmin, Assistant Professor, B.Com (CA), who played a pivotal role in the smooth execution of the event.
The workshop was well-received by the students, who gained valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in building basic web pages. It served as a foundational step towards developing coding confidence and digital skills among beginners.
