What is the Role of Investment Bankers

Department of Commerce and Management of CARE College of Arts and Science organized a Guest Lecture on “Role of Investment Banking” on 20th February 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM through the Google Meet. The guest lecture gathers eminent speakers MR. V. BHARATHIDASAN, Credit Manager – Corporate Banking, Barclays, Chennai. The lecture was attended by 65 students and 8 Faculty members from Commerce and Management Department. Our B. Com student Miss. S. Yokiya Thilagam welcomed the gathering. The speaker started with some random question about investment banking. 

Mr. V. Bharathidasan conveyed his valuable insights regarding the various aspects of investment banking like underwriting, fund and capital raining and also, he explained the important functions and the roles of investment banking, like mergers, acquisition and advisory service. Apart from that he also spoke about the domains of financial service like sales trading, corporate broking, asset management, debt and transition cycle etc. 

The session ended with interactive session. Overall, the lecture was very informative and it helped students as well to get a knowledge about Investment Banking.
