The Department of Commerce, School of Commerce, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized an Industrial Visit on the topic FSSAI Compliance, Product Liability, and Food Safety Laws in Automated Dairy Processing at Milky Mist, Erode, on 30 June 2026 for II B.Com students. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to food safety regulations, quality standards, compliance procedures, and modern automated dairy processing practices followed in the industry.
During the visit, students gained valuable insights into FSSAI guidelines, product liability measures, hygiene standards, quality control systems, and advanced dairy processing technologies adopted by Milky Mist. The industrial exposure helped bridge the gap between theoretical learning and real-world industrial practices, enhancing students’ understanding of commerce applications in the food processing sector.
The programme was presided over by Dr. D. Sugumar, Principal, and felicitated by Dr. K. Rajam, Head of the Department of Commerce. The event was coordinated by Dr. R. Vinothkumar and Mrs. K. Sumathi, Assistant Professors, Department of Commerce.
