The Department of Commerce (Computer Applications), in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized a workshop on Post-Amalgamation Survival: Company Registration, Integration & Financial Stability on 21 July 2026 at 11:50 a.m. in the Arts Seminar Hall. The programme was conducted for the III B.Com(CA) students with the objective of enhancing their understanding of the legal, financial, and strategic aspects involved in business amalgamations and post-merger sustainability.
The session was delivered by Mr. Ramalingam, Auditor, Vasavi Associates, Tax Consultant, Trichy, who shared valuable insights on company registration procedures, integration challenges, financial restructuring, statutory compliance, and strategies for achieving long-term organizational stability after amalgamation. The programme was presided over by Dr. D. Sugumar, Principal, the Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. K. Alex, Dean Academics and the program was felicitated by Dr. B. Abdul Suban, Head of the Department of Commerce (CA). The workshop was coordinated by Mr. Radhakrishnan Mathivanan, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce (CA). The interactive session provided students with practical exposure to corporate restructuring processes, enabling them to bridge the gap between academic concepts and real-world business practices.
