Overview
This 5 day workshop will teach participants GIS through examples in the open source GIS software QGIS. The workshop will cover typical basic GIS software workflow needs such as loading data, changing the way data is displayed, and where to find analysis tools. You can use QGIS anytime, for absolutely free on Mac, Linux, or Windows. In addition, participants will learn strategies for finding help with QGIS and tutorials for self learning. Once the basics are imparted, hands on project can be introduced to practically apply the tool and extract data for presentation.
