The first of three phases of Uyyakondan canal urban intervention program was held at CARE on 14.12.16 ,jointly organized by CARE along with The Indian Institute of Architects,Trichy Center. The purpose of thIs session was to bring together a multidisciplinary group of stakeholders to debate and discuss on the various parameters, involved with respect to their chosen specialties ,to evolve a more wholistic and meaningful approach to the process of reclaiming the water edge of uyyakondan to the people of Trichy.
The panel included Er.Rajagopal(PWD, Trichy) ,Prof.Alagappa Moses (HOD Dept of Environment,Bishop Heber college,Trichy), Prof.Ravichandran(Dept of Environment,Bishop Heber college,Trichy), Mr.Mohan(Exnora) , Mr.Vinoth (Thaneer Iyyakam) , Mr.Madhan Kumar and Mrs. Kanagavalli (DHAN Foundation,Madurai),Ar.Annamalai(Chairman IIA Trichy center) , Ar.Raja ( Secretary IIA Trichy Center), final years students and faculty members of the School.
