Value Added Course , for the academic year 2022-2023 for III year CSE and AI&DS students was conducted for 5 days from 10.4.2023 to 11.05.2023 in the topic “Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality “ . It was organized to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of AR and VR technologies, their applications, and the tools and techniques used in developing AR and VR experiences. The course aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to explore the potential of AR and VR in various industries. First 3 days of the course on was handled by our internal faculty and the last 2 days was handled by VEI Technologies Pvt.Ltd, Chennai.
In this 5 days session, students were able to got knowledge in
- Introduction about the concepts and fundamentals of Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality.
- How to explore the applications of AR and VR in different fields such as gaming, education, healthcare, and entertainment.
- How to handle AR and VR development tools and platforms.
- The challenges and future prospects of AR and VR technologies.
At the end of the last day of the course, an assessment was conducted for 40 marks by VEI Technologies and marks were noted.
This Value Added Course received a positive feedback from the participants, who found the sessions informative, engaging, and well-structured. The hands-on activities were particularly appreciated, as they provided practical experience in AR and VR development. Participants also expressed interest in exploring further resources and attending advanced workshops on specialized topics.
