CARE NDLI CLUB in association with Department of Science and Humanities organized a News Creation on 31/05/23 at Fulcrum. K.S.Majushree, I, AI&DS welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest.
Dr.J.Jeyarani, Professor & Head, ECE honoured the occasion as the chief Guest and enlightened the students on the history and modus operandi of writing news. She interacted with the students and they were eager enough to answer her questions.
Students were given 4 topics for writing news: Storm in Nagappatinam, Arulmozhivarman continues his quest to become Rajaraja I in PS II, ICC Men’s World Cup Cricket hosted by India, and Medical colleges flout rules. Participants were divided into teams of 5/6 and were given the topics at 3.45 pm. They started working on it. Dr.Helen Selvi.M/AP/Physics and Mrs.Amba Bharathi Desai / Communication trainer adjudged the winners based on the content, language and design of the newspaper. 126 first year students attended the programme. Mr.G.Venkatesan, HoD/S&H and the Executive Member of the CARE NDLI Club distributed the certificates to the winners.
