A Taste of Tradition: Pongal Festivities Bloom at CARE CoE with Vibrant Spirit!

The spirit of Pongal, the harvest festival of Tamil Nadu, filled the halls of CARE College of Engineering on January 12th, 2024. The vibrant celebrations brought together students, faculty, and staff for a day of cultural immersion, traditional games, and community spirit.The event, organized by the Life@CARE Clubs and the National Service Scheme, was a vibrant tapestry of cultural performances, traditional games, and community spirit.

Dr. K Sathish Kumar, Assistant Professor of Tamil from KalaiKaviri Fine Arts, delivered the keynote speech, illuminating the significance of Pongal and its rich cultural tapestry. His address resonated with the audience, reminding everyone of the values and traditions embedded in the festival.Adding to the grandeur of the event were the esteemed guests Shri B. Prative Chend, CEO of the CARE Group of Institutions, Dr. S. Shanthi, Principal of CARE College of Engineering .Their presence and heartfelt felicitations set the tone for a truly memorable celebration.

The day unfolded into a tapestry of 25 diverse traditional events , each pulsating with the unique charm of Tamil culture. From exuberant Jallikattu reenactments to melodious Kolam competitions, the campus throbbed with the energy of students showcasing their love for their roots. With over 500 students actively participating, the event resonated with a spirit of inclusivity and camaraderie.

Pongal Festival 2024 at CARE College of Engineering wasn’t just a celebration of the harvest; it was a celebration of community, tradition, and the spirit of joy.
