FDP on Unlocking Faculty Potentials

Three days Faculty Development Program on “Unlocking Faculty Potentials” was held on 10-08-2024 to 13-08-2024 


Objectives of FDP

  • To Understand Design thinking and foster innovativeness in various fields
  • To Understand the structure of new academic regulations
  • To Discuss the quality Initiatives of Institutional Values and Best Practices
  • To Plan the multiple aspects of research ethics, IIPC, EDC initiatives

DAY 1 
The three days Faculty Development Program on “Unlocking Faculty Potentials” was organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), CARE College of Engineering on 10th August 2024 to 13th August 2024. The first day session was handled by Mr. S. Shanmugam, Director, Design Desk (India) Private Limited, Chennai on the topic “Innovation through Design Thinking” provides the importance of design thinking in our working environment. The session is aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world industrial practices. Dr. J. Jeyarani, Dean IQAC felicitated over the function and gave
confidence to the participants and brief about the current and future technology.

 DAY 2 

The second day of the Faculty Development Programme commenced with a renewed sense of enthusiasm and commitment to advancing our collective knowledge. Building on the insights gained during the inaugural day, the second day offered participants an opportunity to enhance their understanding and refine their skills. The session on the second day (12.08.2024) was steered by Dr. K. Kannan, Dean Academics, who delivered an insightful presentation on the Academic Regulation 2024 and effective teaching learning techniques.

DAY 3 

The first session was conducted by Dr. J. Jeyarani, who serves as the Dean – IQAC of CARE COE. The session was dedicated to discussing the various formats utilized by the IQAC for maintaining quality assurance across academic and administrative activities. The second session was conducted by Dr. A. Pasumpon Pandian, who holds the position of Dean of Research and Development (R&D) of CARE COE. This session focused on the policies and initiatives related to Research, Industry-Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC), and the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC).

Outcomes of FDP

At the end of the FDP Programme Faculty will able to,

  • Develop innovative solutions to real-world problems in design thinking
  • Practice the  new academic regulations 2024
  • Implement quality initiatives of Institutional Values and Practices
  • Practice multiple aspects of research ethics, IIPC, EDC initiatives
