Industry Interaction Programme 

Event Title: Industry Interaction Programme on “Storage Technologies”
Date: 13th February 2025 (Forenoon Session)
Venue: Engineering Seminar Hall
Target Audience: III Year Students of the Department of AI & DS
Course: Storage Technologies

Overview:
An Industry Interaction Programme was conducted by the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science on 13th February 2025 for the III Year students enrolled in the “Storage Technologies” course. The session, held in the Engineering Seminar Hall, was attended by a total of 83 students from both Sections A and B.

Resource Person:
Mr. P. Vinoth, Director, AI & Engineering, LYAANA AI Private Limited, was invited as the resource person for the session.

Session Summary:
The session began with an overview of storage technologies, where Mr. Vinoth provided insights into the evolution of storage systems and their various types. This was elaborated upon through a detailed PowerPoint presentation, supported by an audio-video presentation, to facilitate better understanding.

In the second half of the session, Mr. Vinoth adopted an interactive approach, encouraging student participation. He proposed five project titles related to storage technologies and instructed the students to form groups. Each group was asked to select one project topic and initiate their work accordingly.

As part of the session’s deliverables, Mr. Vinoth requested that the students submit a progress report once they had completed 40% of their respective projects.

Date: 13th February 2025 (Afternoon Session)
Venue: Engineering Seminar Hall
Target Audience: II Year Students of the Department of AI & DS
Course: Fundamentals of Data science and Analytics

Overview:
An Industry Interaction Programme was conducted by the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science on 13th February 2025 for the II Year students enrolled in the “ Fundamentals of Data science and Analytics  ” course. The session, held in the Engineering Seminar Hall, was attended by a total of 113 students from both Sections A and B.

Resource Person:
Mr. P. Vinoth, Director, AI & Engineering, LYAANA AI Private Limited, was invited as the resource person for the session.

Session Summary:
The session began with an overview of Data Analytics, where Mr. Vinoth gave a detailed and informative session on Statistics and Analytics, breaking down their various types through a PowerPoint presentation. PowerPoint presentations are a great way to clarify concepts and help students visualize the different types of statistics.

In the second half of the session, Mr. Vinoth adopted an interactive approach, encouraging student participation.By assigning projects related to Data Analytics, Mr. Vinoth is encouraging students to apply the concepts they’ve learned in a real-world context. Choosing a project topic allows for a deeper understanding of the tools and techniques involved in data analysis.
