The Department of Mechanical Engineering at CARE College of Engineering successfully organized a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on CAD/CNC from March 5, 2025, to March 10, 2025. The sessions were conducted daily from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM, specifically for the faculty members of the Mechanical Engineering Department. The programme was coordinated by Mr. A. Antony Luki, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering. The sessions were led by Dr. D. R. Rajkumar, Professor and Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, on March 5 and from March 7 to March 10, 2025, while one session was handled by Mr. A. Antony Luki.
During these five days, the faculty members gained valuable insights into CNC part programming, focusing on the fundamentals of G Codes and M Codes. Practical execution of CNC operations, including facing, turning, milling with drilling, and grooving, was carried out to enhance hands-on experience using EDGECAM Software. The training equipped faculty members with essential CNC skills, enabling them to integrate practical applications into their teaching methodologies. On the final day, certificates of participation were distributed to the attendees by Dr. D. R. Rajkumar, marking the successful completion of the FDP.
