Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized an Industrial Visit to All India Radio (AIR), Trichy as a part of the curriculum for U24EC431- Communication Systems for II Year ECE students on 12.02.2026 (Thursday). The visit was conducted for the hands-on experiential learning aligned with SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, focusing on real-world understanding of FM broadcasting systems, radio receivers, and noise removal techniques. This visit enabled students to gain exposure to broadcasting technology, signal processing systems, and communication infrastructure.
Learning objectives
- To understand practical implementation of FM radio transmission and reception.
- To study broadcasting infrastructure and signal flow.
- To analyze noise sources and noise removal techniques in communication systems.
- To learn about studio equipment and signal processing chains.
- To provide exposure to industry standards and operational practices.

After the visit, students were able to:
