International Women’s Day was celebrated at CARE College of Engineering from 11.30 am to 5.00 pm on 19th March 2024. Mrs.Meera Ramesh, Counsellor and Psychologist, Shree Counselling, Trichy and a part-time student-counsellor at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University was the Chief Guest. She delivered a lecture on “Resilience Matters”.
After the lecture, the students along with the chief guest and faculty members went on a silent procession inside the college to create an awareness on gender equity, child abuse, sexual harassment, discriminatory actions towards women, domestic violence etc. Dr.J.Jeyarani, HoD, ECE honoured this special occasion and addressed the students on “Gender Equality and Women Empowerment”.Team games and cultural events were conducted for women students and staff .
