National Service Scheme_Swachchata Hi Seva 2024: Campus Cleanliness Drive.

CARE College of Engineering (Autonomous), in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS), successfully organized the Swachchata Hi Seva campaign on October 2, 2024, in commemoration of Mahatma Gandhi’s 155th birth anniversary. The event, held at 10 AM, saw enthusiastic participation from NSS volunteers and students, who joined hands to promote the message of cleanliness and sustainable living.

The campus was a hub of activity as a Cleanliness Drive and Rally were conducted, where volunteers spread awareness about the importance of maintaining cleanliness in and around the campus. The rally saw students read slogans like “Cleanliness is next to godliness” and “A clean environment begins with you!” They marched across the campus, inspiring others to adopt a cleaner lifestyle.

The event began with a pledge on cleanliness led by the NSS Programme Officer, where the NSS volunteers took a solemn vow to continue practicing and promoting cleanliness in every aspect of their lives. The pledge emphasized not only physical cleanliness but also mental and environmental purity, echoing the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, who always envisioned a clean and self-sustaining India.

The success of this event was made possible through the relentless efforts and support of the college management. A special thanks goes to the CEO, Principal, Dean (R&D) and Ao for their unwavering guidance and commitment to this noble cause. Their collective leadership ensured that the drive was a resounding success, and their vision for a cleaner campus and community was highly appreciated by all present.

In the spirit of Mahatma Gandhi, who once said, “Be the change you wish to see in the world,” CARE College of Engineering(Autonomous) stands proud in its efforts to uphold cleanliness as a way of life, not just on this special occasion, but every day. The campaign concluded with a renewed sense of responsibility among the students to maintain their surroundings and contribute to a cleaner and healthier India.

Together, we can build a better tomorrow by starting with a cleaner today!
