The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, in association with IEEE and IETE, organized a guest lecture on the course EC3491-Communication Systems on the topic “Communication Systems and IoT” on 15.04.2025. The session was led by Prakash V.Anandan, Head-Academic Solutions, Enthu Technology India Pvt. Ltd, Coimbatore. The speaker provided valuable insights into the evolution of communication systems from analog to 5G and beyond, the architecture and protocols of IoT, and real-world applications including smart cities, healthcare, and industrial automation. Students were introduced to the integration of IoT with communication systems and the challenges involved in implementing secure and efficient IoT networks.
