The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at CARE, where students, faculty, and staff gathered to honor the spirit of freedom. The Principal, Dr. S.Shanthi, hoisted the national flag at 9.15AM. In her address, she reflected on the sacrifices of freedom fighters and emphasized the importance of nurturing democratic values and civic responsibility among youth. “Independence is not just a legacy—it is a responsibility we must carry forward with integrity and innovation,” he said, urging students to contribute meaningfully to nation-building
Dr.D.Sugumar , Principal, CARE Arts & Science , delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the role of art and culture in shaping national identity. He encouraged students to use creative expression as a medium to celebrate India’s diversity and resilience.
The TamilMandram, led by coordinator Dr.S.Manikandan AP/S&H , added a vibrant touch to the event with a heartfelt speech and engaging performances by team members, including patriotic Eloquation and traditional Silambam by R.HariKrishnan III year ECE,T.Subasri II year AD and N.Ajai Rathinam III Year CSE,Y.Sheerin Rizwana,III Year AD.
The celebration was smoothly coordinated by NSS and YRC Programme Officer Mr. R.Saravanan AP/EEE, ensuring participation from all Deans, Heads of Departments, faculty, staff, and students. The campus was filled with patriotic energy as attendees proudly displayed the tricolor and shared reflections on India’s journey.
The event concluded with the distribution of sweets, symbolizing joy of freedom and the sweetness of unity. The celebration served as a reminder of the sacrifices made for freedom and the collective responsibility to uphold its values.
