NSS,YRC_Voluntary Blood Donation Camp 

Trichy, 25 September 2025 – A voluntary blood donation camp was successfully organized by National Service Scheme (NSS), Youth Red Cross (YRC), and Red Ribbon Club (RRC) of CARE College of Engineering in association with MGM Government Hospital, Trichy. The event took place at the college premises (Fulcrum Hall) at 9:00 AM.

The Principal Dr.S.Shanthi of CARE College of Engineering presided over the function and felicitated the donors and medical team for their contribution. The entire event was coordinated by the NSS Programme Officer Mr.R.Saravanan AP/EEE, who appreciated the NSS, YRC, volunteers for their active participation and tireless support in making the camp a grand success.

Speaking at the event, the Principal emphasized the importance of voluntary blood donation as a life-saving act and encouraged students to continue participating in such community service activities in the future.

The camp received an overwhelming response with around 200 students and faculty members registering for the noble cause. A total of 50 units of blood were donated, which will benefit patients in need at government hospitals.

The medical team from MGM Government Hospital,Trichy expressed gratitude for the excellent arrangements and assured that the donated blood will be utilized for emergency and critical care patients. The camp concluded with a vote of thanks, and refreshments were served to all donors.
