As part of the National Library Week celebration, the Central Library organized a Book Expo aimed at promoting reading habits and enhancing awareness of library resources among users. The event provided an excellent platform for students, faculty, and staff to explore a wide variety of books and academic materials in one place. The Book Expo was formally inaugurated by Dr. P. Kannan, Dean of Academics and Mr. G. Venkatesan, Head of the Department of Science and Humanities, both dignitaries addressed the gathering and encouraged users to fully utilize the library’s diverse resources to strengthen their academic and personal growth. The object of the event is,
- To instill and promote a strong reading habit among users.
- To provide easy access to high-demand and special collections.
- To familiarize users with diverse titles and subjects available in the library.
- To showcase the library’s efforts in resource enrichment through ILL and rare collections.
- To support academic excellence by connecting users with essential learning materials.
It not only promoted reading habits but also strengthened the connection between the library and its users. The Central Library plans to continue such initiatives to support learning, raeding, and research activities within the institution.
